NameDaemon checks any .com domain name from your toolbar: is it taken, free, or about to drop? Type a name, or select one on any page and right-click "Check on NameDaemon". You see its status at once, and for a name in its last days before release, the estimated drop date. For a free name or one about to drop, the popup shows where to register or backorder it. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Check: taken, available, or dropping soon, with the estimated release date. • Appraise: a quality tier and a score out of 100, with length, meaning, sound, spelling, safety and social handles broken out, and the reasons why. • Health: a grade for a registered name. Registrar, expiry, lock, DNS provider, DNSSEC, mail, SPF, DMARC and blocklists, with what to fix first. • Audit: a look at a name's past before you buy it. Archive history, blocklists and anything that looks wrong. Keep browsing while it runs; the toolbar icon shows a check mark when it is done. • Report: score, screening, social handles and health in one place. • Watch: get one email when a specific .com becomes available. Free, with a confirmation link in the first email. • Save: keep a list of names in your browser. • State of .com: a short daily summary of the whole .com zone. Zone size, the day's change, a 30-day line, median name length, hyphen and digit shares and the biggest DNS host. Totals only, never a list of names. PRIVACY The extension has no ads and no analytics. It sends a name to namedaemon.com only when you press Check or open a tool, and your email address only when you ask to watch a name. It does not read page contents and does not track your browsing. Links from the extension to namedaemon.com carry a fixed "from the extension" tag and nothing that identifies you. Registrar links may be affiliate links, and the popup says so next to them. Results come from public data (the .com zone file, registry lookups, DNS and the Internet Archive). They can be incomplete or out of date. A name shown as available is not a promise that you can register it: confirm with your registrar first. Independent.
