Nachimban — Compass
Overview
A pause before the sites that pull you into comparison. Face a line you wrote for yourself, then enter.
Twitter, trading apps, the sites you open out of habit. Do they pull you into comparison, anxiety, feeling behind? Nachimban ("compass") shows a full-screen pause when you open those sites. You face one sentence you wrote for yourself — and (optionally) must type it to pass. A single beat of friction, right at the doorway where comparison poison enters. · Choose which sites to gate (x.com, trading sites, anything) · Write your own sentences — one shows at random on the gate · "Type to pass" or "read, then pass after 3 seconds" · Cooldown after passing (default 10 min) so it isn't nagging · Leave anytime with one click Everything is stored only in your browser. No server, no account, no sign-up, no tracking. The goal isn't "never look again." It's shortening the time between slipping and catching yourself — from months to minutes.
