MyAgentPlatform — Browser Control lets your MyAgentPlatform AI agent take actions inside your own Chrome browser, using the websites and accounts you are already signed in to, without sending your passwords, cookies, or session tokens to any cloud service. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This extension is the local companion to MyAgentPlatform (https://myagentplatform.com), a hosted AI agent service. After you pair it with your account, your agent can carry out step-by-step actions inside a tab in your own Chrome: navigating to a page, clicking a button, filling a form, reading a table, copying data out of a dashboard, or completing a multi-step workflow on a site where you are already signed in. Every action happens inside your own browser, on your own machine, using the sessions you already have. The extension relays commands from your paired agent to a Chrome tab and sends back page state and screenshots so the agent can decide what to do next. Your cookies and credentials never leave your computer. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHY YOU MIGHT WANT IT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Most AI agents are locked out of the authenticated web. They can read public pages, but they cannot use your email, your CRM, your cloud storage, your bank, or any site that requires you to be logged in — because handing a cloud agent your passwords is not safe. This extension solves that by keeping the authenticated session entirely on your side: you stay signed in, and the agent acts through a Chrome tab you own and can watch in real time. Typical uses: • Pull numbers from a dashboard, summarize them, and drop the result into a doc. • Handle routine replies in a web inbox while you focus on other work. • Run repetitive research across several signed-in sites. • Fill multi-step forms, uploads, or account workflows on your behalf. • Build personal automations that previously needed code or a third-party connector. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ HOW IT WORKS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Install the extension and click the toolbar icon. 2. Sign in to MyAgentPlatform and pair the extension using a one-time code tied to your account. 3. When your agent needs to take a browser action, the extension opens or reuses a tab and runs the action inside your Chrome. A visible banner is displayed on any page the agent is controlling so you always know when it is active. 4. You can pause, stop, or unpair the extension at any time from the popup. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY AND SECURITY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Your cookies, passwords, and session tokens stay on your computer. The extension does not read them, upload them, or share them with MyAgentPlatform or any third party. • The extension only accepts commands from the account you paired it with. It ignores instructions from anywhere else. • A visible banner is injected on any page the agent is actively controlling, so there is no silent activity. • A built-in blocklist prevents the agent from operating on sensitive domains (banking, healthcare portals, etc.) as a second layer of defense on top of server-side checks. • You can unpair, pause, or uninstall at any time. Uninstalling removes all local state. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHY EACH PERMISSION IS NEEDED ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • debugger — The Chrome DevTools Protocol is the only reliable way to drive a real browser for an AI agent (click, type, scroll, read the DOM, take screenshots). It is only used for agent-initiated actions while the extension is paired, and Chrome shows its own notification bar whenever the debugger is attached, so the activity is never hidden. • tabs, scripting, webNavigation — Open and track tabs, inject the visible "agent is working" banner, and know when pages finish loading so the agent can act at the right moment. • <all_urls> host permissions — The agent needs to be able to work on whichever site you ask it to, just like you do when you use Chrome yourself. • storage, alarms — Store your pairing state locally and keep the background connection alive. • offscreen — Maintain a persistent WebSocket connection to your agent under Manifest V3. • management — Check for other installed extensions that also attach the Chrome debugger, so we can warn you about conflicts before starting a session. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ REQUIREMENTS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ You need a MyAgentPlatform account to use this extension.
