I built MyPantry Clip because I love saving recipes, but keeping track of endless URLs or copy-pasting everything into a massive Google Doc was getting incredibly messy. I wanted a clean, organized way to store my favorite meals directly from the web. MyPantry Clip is a privacy-first browser extension that extracts the exact ingredients and instructions from cooking sites with a single click. It strips away all the blog clutter, ads, and life stories, leaving you with exactly what you came for: the recipe. Here is what it does and why you should install it: One-Click Clipping: Instantly pull structured recipe data from almost any food blog. Stop losing track of your favorites and skip the endless scrolling. Fully Local or Cloud Synced (Your Choice): By default, your entire recipe library and search data are stored 100% locally on your device. If you want access across multiple computers, you can opt-in to securely sync your recipes using your Google account. You always own your data and can export it as a JSON file at any time. Smart Scaling & Unit Conversion: Easily switch between US and metric units, or scale the recipe yield up and down. The extension does all the math for you so you never have to calculate fractions while your hands are covered in flour. AI Ingredient Substitution: Missing an ingredient? Just ask. The extension analyzes the chemical role of the missing item (like binding, leavening, or moisture) and suggests a mathematically adjusted substitute that you can swap in with one click. Smart Semantic Search: Search your pantry using natural language. Because the extension runs a lightweight AI model directly in your browser, you can search by concept — like "something chocolatey for a dinner party" — not just exact keywords. Built for Power Users: If you prefer not to use our cloud API, MyPantry Clip supports an optional Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) mode.
