Mutuals is a free Chrome extension that gives you a complete picture of your own audience: who follows you, who you follow back, who ignores you, and who actually engages with your content. WHAT IT DOES Not Following Back Every account you follow that doesn't follow you back. Sorted and searchable. Not Followed Back Every account that follows you but you haven't followed back yet. Ghost Followers Followers who never like or comment on any of your posts. They inflate your follower count without helping your reach. Engagement Tiers Every follower ranked by how much they interact with your content - likes, comments, total interactions - so you can see who your most loyal followers actually are. Audience Quality Score A single 0-100 score summarising audience health: real vs. suspicious followers, engagement rate, and mutual ratio. Suspicious Account Detection Flags followers showing multiple low-signal traits at once: no profile picture, no display name, and algorithmically generated usernames. Best Time to Post Breaks your recent posts into six 4-hour blocks and shows when your followers engaged most. Engagement Rate Benchmarking Your average engagement rate per post, rated Low, Average, Good or Excellent against common industry thresholds. Historical Scan Tracking Every scan is saved with a timestamp, so you can track follower growth, ghost percentage and engagement rate over time. Multi-Account Support Switch between multiple accounts. Each keeps its own scan history. Whitelist Mark accounts as "OK to keep" so they never appear in your Not Following Back list again - useful for brands, public figures and friends you follow without expecting a follow back. CSV and PDF Export Export your followers, following, Not Following Back, Not Followed Back and ghost lists to CSV, or generate a formatted PDF report. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO Mutuals is read-only. It cannot follow, unfollow, like, comment, block or post. There is no scheduler and no background activity - it runs only when you start it, and only on the account you are signed in as. If Instagram rate-limits your session, the extension stops and tells you. PRIVACY Mutuals runs entirely in your browser. There is no server. No data is sent to the developer or to any third party, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your follower lists and results stay on your device in local browser storage. You are never asked for your password or any credentials. The extension activates only when you open your own profile and start an analysis. It reads the data your signed-in session already returns - the same data you see when you open your own followers or following list. HOW TO USE 1. Install the extension 2. Sign in at instagram.com 3. Go to your own profile page 4. Click the analyse button in the bottom-right corner 5. Wait for the scan to finish (this depends on your follower count) 6. Review your results in the panel TIPS • Run it from your own profile page at instagram.com/yourusername • Large accounts (10,000+ followers) can take several minutes • Use the whitelist to permanently hide accounts you don't want listed • Re-run weekly to build up history and track trends FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Does this work on mobile? A: No. Chrome extensions run on desktop Chrome only. Q: Does it do anything to my account? A: No. Mutuals only reads. It cannot follow, unfollow, like, comment or post, and it never acts on your behalf. Q: Why does it sometimes say the request was blocked? A: Instagram rate-limits data requests for active sessions. When that happens the extension stops and tells you. Wait a few hours and run it again. Q: Is my data shared with anyone? A: No. Everything stays in your browser. No account, no server, no tracking.
