It checks supported webpage text and image previews as you browse in Chrome, then covers matching or uncertain items with an explanation. Write filters in your own words, add exceptions, reveal an item whenever you choose, or pause filtering on a website. Review a rule before saving it. Your saved rules follow you between authorized browsers. New MuteThis accounts include 1,000 welcome AI checks to use within 30 days. No card or payment is required, and the allowance does not renew automatically. An item can use more than one AI check; reused results use no new checks. Selected page text and image previews are processed through MuteThis and OpenAI. Reports stay local unless you explicitly send them. Review the privacy details before granting website access. Filtering is experimental and can make mistakes. Coverage varies by website and content type. Video thumbnails and sampled animation frames do not provide full-video protection.
