Music Mode for YouTube™

it does not block the video it just use an image to cover the video so its still use a lot bandwidth and battery.

Definitely something I will go for...The only issue I am getting into is, it is messing with Brave's adblocker configuration for YouTube. Using brave browser for quite some time for its adblocking privileges but this extension couldn't seem to cope up with it.. Fix this and I'll give you 5! It works perfectly on Youtube Music as it should! No GPU waste for listening to music <3

The best extension I found on internet. If you would like to listen to your favorite music, but don't want to be distracted from different videos on YouTube, this is the extension for you!!! Love and thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! I respond to all the reviews that report a problem or suggest something, even if they are 5-star reviews ;). Unfortunately, your suggestion is outside the scope of the extension. If you want to keep track of the videos that you have already watched, you have to enable History in YouTube. Thanks and sorry.

The only reason one would want a *music mode* is to save bandwidth by loading only the audio and not the video. This app is not doing that. All this does is stick a JPEG on top of the video and call it a day, one is still downloading the whole video. If that's all that the extension does, the minimize button does a better job at it. Not disclosing that clearly on the page, and still keeping the now-conflicting description on the extension overview, is a dick move.

The extension's description clearly explains its functionality. Due to recent YouTube changes, video blocking is currently only available on YouTube Music, while on YouTube, the video is hidden instead. I understand that this may not be what you expected, but the way you chose to express your frustration is neither fair nor constructive—especially for a free product developed with significant effort. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but respect goes both ways.
