Mushroom Cottage Meadow replaces Chrome's plain New Tab page with a hand-illustrated spring scene: a red-capped mushroom cottage beside a stream, cherry trees in full bloom, a little wooden bridge, and a wildflower meadow that runs down to the bottom of your screen. WHAT IT CHANGES Most themes swap the New Tab wallpaper and leave the rest of the browser on Chrome's defaults, so the artwork ends up framed in grey. This one colors the whole window to match the illustration: • The window frame and tab strip take the sky blue from the scene itself • The toolbar and address bar sit on the cottage's warm cream • Toolbar icons and text are tinted a soft cocoa brown so they stay easy to read against that cream • Inactive tabs use a deep slate blue that stays legible on the blue frame • Every color is sampled directly from the artwork, so the tabs, toolbar, address bar and page read as one picture rather than four separate pieces WHY YOU MIGHT WANT IT You open a new tab dozens of times a day. This makes that moment a small pleasant one instead of a blank grey rectangle. If your desktop leans cottagecore, kawaii, pastel or storybook, it will sit comfortably alongside it. It is also easy to back out of. Chrome themes change appearance only, so installing or removing one takes a click and never touches your bookmarks, tabs, history or settings. PRIVACY This is a pure theme. It contains no scripts and requests no permissions. It cannot read your browsing history, see your open tabs, or access anything you type. It collects and transmits no data of any kind.
