Munchy — Curated YouTube Sessions
Overview
Bite-sized YouTube, your topics, your time.
Tired of YouTube's algorithm pulling you in random directions? Munchy puts you in control. Just tell Munchy what you want to watch and for how long — "football, 1 hour" — and it finds the best videos on that topic, filters out Shorts and low-quality content, and opens a perfectly timed queue in YouTube automatically. HOW IT WORKS 1. Enter a topic (any niche: cooking, Formula 1, true crime, guitar lessons...) 2. Choose your session length (30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or custom) 3. Hit "Munch it" — Munchy searches YouTube, ranks the best videos, and opens them as a queue SMART FILTERING - Exclude YouTube Shorts automatically - Filter by recency (last 24h, week, month, year, or any time) - Filter by video length (short, medium, long) - Set minimum view count to avoid low-quality content - Filter by language - Skip videos you've already watched YOUR DATA, YOUR DEVICE Munchy uses the YouTube Data API v3 with your own free API key (BYOK — Bring Your Own Key). Getting a free API key takes about 2 minutes and gives you ~100 sessions per day at no cost. All your data stays on your device — no accounts, no servers, no tracking. OPTIONAL AI SUMMARIES If you add an Anthropic API key, Munchy can generate a quick 3-sentence summary of any video before you watch it. SAVE YOUR FAVORITE NICHES Star any topic to save it as a shortcut. One click and your favorite niche is ready to go. RECENT SESSIONS Your last 10 sessions are saved so you can reopen any queue in YouTube with one click. Free to use. No subscription. No ads. Just better YouTube.
