Multiroute Audio
Overview
Route audio from individual Chrome tabs to available output devices on your computer.
Send audio from individual Chrome tabs to different speakers, headphones, or other audio outputs available on your computer. FEATURES • Choose a separate output for each tab. • Route several tabs at the same time. • Keep listening after closing the popup. • Switch outputs or stop routes from one place. • Jump back to a routed tab from the active-routes list. HOW TO USE 1. Open a web page that plays audio. 2. Click Multiroute Audio in the Chrome toolbar. 3. Choose an available output and select “Route this tab.” 4. Repeat on other tabs to send their audio to different outputs. AVAILABLE OUTPUTS Available destinations depend on Chrome, your operating system, and your audio driver. Individual hardware channels appear only when exposed as separate audio outputs. Each tab uses one output. Volume controls, mute controls, and saved routes are not included. PRIVACY Audio stays on your device. Multiroute Audio does not record or upload audio, run analytics, or require an account. The optional device-access page can request temporary microphone permission to reveal device names. The microphone track stops immediately and is never routed or recorded. COMPATIBILITY Tested in Chrome on Windows. Other systems and audio configurations have not been verified.
