What you see on every lookup: - Reading — hiragana reading of the clicked word - Base form — the dictionary form for conjugated verbs and adjectives - Conjugation label — plain past, te-form, causative, passive, and more, named in plain English - Part of speech — noun, verb, adjective, particle, auxiliary, and so on - Definition — Jisho-backed English glosses - JLPT level — N5 through N1 badge when available - Pitch accent — visual mora diagram so you can hear the word the right way - Grammar explanations — particles (は, が, を, に, から…) and auxiliaries (です, ます, ている…) get plain-English function notes instead of a dictionary entry Built for real reading practice.
