M.Quill — QA Test Accelerator

QA Test Accelerator for AcademyX — speeds up manual testing by auto-filling page sections with realistic data from a side panel.

M.Quill is an internal QA accelerator for AcademyX portals. Open the side panel, point it at your portal, pick a module and a section, and it drives the page for you — navigating, entering edit mode, filling every field with realistic content, saving, and verifying the section completed. What used to be an afternoon of manual typing per test run is a few clicks. It is portal-agnostic: nothing is hardcoded. You enter your own Portal Base URL, grant Chrome access to exactly that host once, and the same build works across every environment you test (QA, E2, staging). WHAT IT AUTOMATES • CTP (Course Training Plan) — 19 sections end-to-end, from General Course Info and Training Objectives through Teaching Points, Modules & Lessons, Lesson Plans, Grading Matrix, Surveys, Internal Validation and Confirm. • SAT Analysis — 31 sections, covering Scoping Study & Job Analysis ToRs, Job Description and Specification, Duties & Tasks, Sub-Tasks, Surveys, TAD generation and Delivery. • IP Assessments — Setup & Overview, Questions, Exam Paper, Evaluation, Attend Exam (bulk, across a whole roster) and Complete Exam. • IP Lesson — Overview, Recommendations, Lesson Preview, Generate Questions with AI, and Publish. • User Management — create accounts against the portal's own API, including bulk creation from a CSV file, plus password resets and course-user lookups. HOW IT WORKS • Run one section, tick several, or use Run all to execute a module's whole registry in order. • A live log streams every step as it happens, so a failed run tells you exactly which field or save it stopped on. • EN / AR locale support — runs against Arabic portals and handles the language switch mid-run. • Realistic course content is bundled per subject; an optional AI generator (bring your own OpenAI key) produces fresh datasets when you need different content. • Missing content never aborts a run: any field with no value gets safe default text and a warning in the log, and the run completes. WHAT'S NEW IN 4.0.0 • Two new working modules: IP Assessments (including bulk exam attendance across a roster) and IP Lesson. • User Management grew CSV bulk import — load a spreadsheet export, see per-line validation errors before anything is written, then create the whole batch. • Run all is now opt-in per module, and section rows explain themselves: read-only, manual-only, and "run from another surface" sections say so instead of showing a dead button. • A module stops announcing itself as "coming soon" the moment it has a runnable section, so the panel always reflects what actually ships. • Side-panel layout reworked for the 360px width — paired short fields, seeded defaults that are genuinely applied rather than just displayed. PRIVACY Login passwords and the shared survey-respondent password are session-only: held in memory while the panel is open and never written to disk. The optional OpenAI API key is stored locally in your own browser profile and is sent only to api.openai.com. There is no phone-home, no analytics, and no server of ours — the only traffic is to the portal you entered and, if you use the generator, to OpenAI. Internal tool.
