MouseFree is designed for anyone interested in hands-free browsing, including users with limited mobility, presenters, multitaskers, and people exploring alternative ways to interact with the web. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔 MouseFree recognizes a small set of easy-to-learn gestures: 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥: Hold up your index and middle fingers in a V shape, then move your hand vertically to scroll up or down. 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐫: Point with one finger and move your hand to guide the virtual cursor around the page. 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤: Position the virtual cursor over a link, button, or other clickable element and hold it steady to activate it. 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞: Open/Fist your hand or move it out of the camera view to stop active interaction. Customize your experience Adjust MouseFree to suit the way you browse. Settings include cursor sensitivity, movement smoothing, scrolling behavior, hover-click timing, camera preview options, and additional interaction preferences. 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒃𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏 Camera processing happens locally on your device. MouseFree does not record, store, or upload your camera video. There are no accounts, backend services, advertisements, analytics, or user tracking. Camera frames and detected hand landmarks remain on your device, and camera access is released when tracking is paused, disabled, or the active page is left. 𝑹𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 MouseFree requires Chrome 91 or newer, a webcam, camera permission, and adequate lighting for reliable hand detection. MouseFree works on regular webpages where Chrome allows extensions to operate. It cannot control protected browser pages, including chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store.
