Mossnote
Overview
A quiet local-first notebook for saving thoughts and quotes from the web.
Mossnote is a gentle browser notebook for the small things you want to keep while reading online. Write a quick thought from the current page, save selected text as a quote, and organize everything into a small set of notebooks with calm visual themes. Mossnote is local-first by default. There is no account to create, no cloud workspace to manage, and no advertising tracker in the extension. Your notes live in your browser storage unless you export them or your browser profile sync handles them separately. Use Mossnote to: - Save a thought from the page you are reading. - Keep selected text as a quote. - Organize notes across multiple notebooks. - Switch between Moss Field, Rain Paper, Clay Desk, and Night Fern. - Export your notes as Markdown or JSON. - Turn the selection helper on or off. Mossnote is built for quiet reading, research, drafting, and web wandering. It stays close to the page, then gets out of the way.
