Mosaq
Overview
Capture research fragments from the web — AI-enriched clips that sync across devices via Mosaq Cloud.
You read a research report at 9. A Twitter thread at 10. A chart at 11. An article shared on Slack at 2. By end of day you've seen fifty things; you can remember five. The fragments are there — they just won't stay organized. They won't connect. The insight, the thesis, the bigger picture stays stuck in your head — whether you work in investment, research, or any field that lives on the input of new information — because pulling it out by hand is too expensive to bother with. Mosaq is the notebook that catches them as you go. HOW TO CAPTURE (never leave the page) • Select text → right-click → Save to Mosaq • Drag an image or chart onto the side panel • Paste from the clipboard (text or image) • Clip the whole page when you want the full article, not just a highlight Capture returns in a beat. You keep reading; Mosaq keeps the fragment. FOCUS MODE — group a research burst When you're deep on one topic (a memo, a name, a thesis), start a focus session so new clips are stamped with that context and easy to find later. 1. Open the Mosaq side panel (toolbar icon). 2. Click "+ Start focus" and type a name — e.g. "NVDA GTC" or "sk hynix 2q memo". 3. Capture as usual. New clips get a focus badge with the name you typed. 4. The list filters to that focus by default so the panel stays on today's work. 5. Use the left rail to jump between focuses, or filter by date (Last 7 days / Today / Yesterday / All time). 6. Search works on focus names too — type "nvda" and stamped clips surface even if the title doesn't say it. Handy details: • Active focus survives panel reload on this device. • "Memory" and "memory" count as the same focus (no duplicate rows); display casing is preserved. • Prefer stamping without narrowing the list? Turn on "Stamp only" in the rail. • Edit or clear focus on any clip from its badge. Right-click a focus in the rail to rename or merge (updates every matching clip). THE LLM WORKS QUIETLY IN THE BACKGROUND Each clip gets a descriptive title. Each image or chart gets a faithful description — axis labels, data points, percentages become searchable text instead of trapped inside the picture. Tags are applied automatically; edit them or filter by them whenever you want. Add your own OpenAI-compatible API key in Settings. Enrichment uses your key — never for training. FIND IT AGAIN • Full-text search across titles, body, image descriptions, tags, and focus names • Date facets for "what did I save today / this week?" • Focus list with counts for "everything I gathered for this work burst" • Day-grouped list in the dual-column side panel (rail + main) THE PAYOFF, WHEN YOU ASK FOR IT At end of day — or whenever you ask — one click turns selected fragments into a synthesized digest. Themes surface. Data points link across sources. The messy morning becomes the thesis you were after, in English or 中文. Export as clean HTML or Markdown and the day earns its keep. LOCAL-FIRST, BY DEFAULT Every clip lives in your browser. No account required to start. AI enrichment runs on your own API key. No ads, no tracking, no data resale. Full policy: mosaq.app/privacy. OPTIONAL CROSS-DEVICE SYNC Sign in to Mosaq Cloud to sync your notebook across machines. Backed by insitutional grade with TLS and Row Level Security so only you can read your data. Sync is off by default; turn it off any time and your local library keeps working offline. **** LIMITED OFFER TO PILOT USERS **** Sign in to Mosaq Cloud to keep your notebook in sync across machines. Every account includes **100 MB of free cloud storage** for your library (clips + images) — enough for a serious personal research corpus before you ever need to think about upgrades. Your data is private to your account: encrypted in transit, stored so only you can read it. Sync is optional — turn it off any time and your local library keeps working offline. No account is required to capture and use Mosaq on one machine. WEB COMPANION Read, search, and edit tags from any browser at mosaq.app. QUICK START 1. Install Mosaq and pin the icon. 2. Open the side panel once so capture paths are ready. 3. (Optional) Settings → add your API key for titles, image descriptions, and digests. 4. (Optional) Start a focus before a research session. 5. Capture as you read. Search, filter, or export when you need the picture. WHO IT'S FOR Investors, analysts, researchers, PMs, and anyone whose job is to connect fragments across tabs — not file them into a folder tree. THE LONGER BET The daily flood of fragments is the new information diet — and the user who connects them beats the user who skims them. Mosaq is being built into a thinking partner for that. BETA — ACTIVELY SHAPED Shipping regularly. The capture / enrich / focus / synthesize pipeline works today. What's next: • iOS capture (in progress) • Realtime sync with conflict handling • Kindle highlights, PDFs, RSS • Shared notebooks, opt-in Feedback shapes the roadmap. Email me.
