This extension brings the famous Monaco editor to GitHub!
This open source extension replaces all github text areas for authoring markdown with a monaco editor. Monaco features * Syntax Highlighting of Markdown and Code Snippets * Tab to indent and Shift+Tab to outdent entire selections * Multi-Cursor Editing * and much more Please use GitHub to report bugs or feature requests! You can press F11 inside the monaco editor to open a full screen view.

This extension is part of my "can't live without it" collection. I spent a lot of time writing and editing texts. And multi-cursor from monaco is an absolute timesaver for doing text manipulation. On browser without this extension, I would copy-paste the text to VSCode, edit the text, and paste it back. With this extension, no more copy-paste shenanigans, just edit directly in the browser.

Finally a monospaced font with a proper editor (even multi-cursor works with cmd+option+up/down!)

I'm glad you like it! Actually, the whole reason I did this was to be able to use shift+tab to un-indent source code that I copied over from VS Code. Before, I had to temporarily un-indent the code in VS Code before copying it and indent it again.
