MomentNotes: Timestamped YouTube Notes with Markdown Export

Take notes on a YouTube video without losing your place. MomentNotes adds a small notes panel to YouTube watch pages. Each note is stamped with the video’s current time. Click the timestamp later and the video jumps back to that moment. HOW IT WORKS Open a YouTube video and click the round MomentNotes button (bottom-right), or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+N). Type a note and click “Add at current time” (or press Ctrl/Cmd+Enter). Copy your notes as Markdown, or download them as a .md file. WHAT YOU GET • Timestamped notes saved per video. Reopen the video later and your notes are there. • Click any timestamp to seek the video to that moment. • Edit or delete any note in place. • Markdown export with clickable youtu.be links that open the video at each timestamp. Works in Obsidian, Notion, Logseq or any Markdown editor. • The toolbar popup lists every video you have notes for, with export and delete. • Typing in the panel doesn’t trigger YouTube’s keyboard shortcuts. PRIVACY Your notes never leave your browser. They are kept in your browser’s local extension storage. The only network request is an optional license check with Gumroad when you activate or re-verify a purchased key (sends your license key and the product ID). No account, no analytics, no tracking.
