Check how the page you're viewing will look when shared. Sends its share metadata to Shareable, only when you click.

See how a link will look when someone shares it, straight from the page you're viewing. Shareable checks whether a public web page has the metadata needed for a clear, trustworthy preview on LinkedIn, Facebook, Slack and other platforms: the title, description, image and URL, and where each one came from. The Shareable web app at shareable.camas.dev checks a page by fetching it from Shareable's server. Some pages can't be fully checked that way: they block or challenge server requests, or only produce their metadata in a browser. The extension runs a Browser-Assisted Check instead. It reads the share metadata from the page already loaded in your browser and opens the result in Shareable. • One button: open the popup on a public page and click "Analyse this page" • See the expected title, description, image and URL, with explanations of anything that needs fixing • Shareable shows which checks it could run in the browser and which it couldn't, such as HTTP status, redirects and image fetches • Run a normal server-side check of the same URL from the result What the extension sends Nothing happens until you click "Analyse this page". Then the extension sends Shareable the page URL, its document title and ready state, and the share metadata in the page: the description, canonical URL and Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, og:type, og:site_name). It does not send the full page HTML, cookies, browser storage, request or response headers, passwords, screenshots or page captures. Don't use it on private, confidential or access-controlled pages. The page URL and its metadata are sent to Shareable, so only use it on pages that are meant to be public. Permissions The extension asks for "activeTab" and "scripting" only, so it can read the current tab when you click. It has no access to any site until you do, and doesn't run in the background. Privacy No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Shareable only saves a report if you choose to create a private share link.
