Quick Image Saving: Bulk Image Downloader with CSS Selector
Overview
Save page images in bulk: scan and pick visually, or match exactly with a CSS selector. Originals, ZIP, all local.
Quick Image Saving saves the images on a web page to your computer as one ZIP file, collects the SVG icons a page draws, copies any image or icon ready to paste into Figma, and photographs the page itself. It opens in Chrome's Side Panel, so it stays put while the save dialog is on screen, and a download keeps running even if you close the panel. Two ways to save images Simple Mode - press Scan this page. Everything found is listed in a grid with a thumbnail, its size, its format and where it came from. Filter, tick what you want, and save it as a ZIP. Advanced Mode - type a CSS selector, such as article img or #gallery img, and save exactly what it matches. Recent selectors are remembered. Pick an area on page - outline one gallery or section and scan only that. What a scan finds - srcset and picture renditions, lazy-loading containers, CSS background images, links that point straight at an image file, and images inside open shadow roots - with Include SVG icons switched on (it is off by default): inline icons and logos, every icon of a sprite sheet, and SVG files a page embeds or uses as a mask. Each is saved as a .svg file that draws on its own, and an icon used many times is one card with a count Originals, not the display copy Many sites keep a photo as PNG or JPEG and hand your browser a smaller WebP or AVIF copy. Quick Image Saving puts the original format ahead of the converted one and takes the largest rendition the page offers. When a site publishes nothing but WebP, that WebP is saved. Every file is named after the bytes that actually arrived. Copy for Figma Every card has a Copy for Figma button. A photo goes to your clipboard as a PNG, and an SVG goes as its code, which Figma pastes as shapes you can edit. SVG cards also offer Copy code, Copy as JSX, Download .svg and Download PNG @2x. Downloading - Four images at a time, a temporary failure tried again at most twice, and large jobs split into several ZIP files - Every ZIP holds a short report: the page, the selector and rules used, how many files of each format are inside, and the web address of every file - Keep original names, and convert saved images to PNG or JPG on your own machine, if you want - URL rules rewrite image addresses before the download, for example a thumbnail into the full-size photo. A rule works on one site, on sites you list (*.example.com covers example.com and every name under it), on every site, or on any page containing an element that matches a CSS selector you give - so one rule can follow a platform across all its sites. There is a live preview, and Test transformed URL really fetches the result. Simple Mode uses the same rules through one switch, Prefer original quality Page screenshots - The whole page, the visible part, an element you pick, or an area you draw: drag a box, and hold near the top or bottom edge to let the page scroll, so an area can be as tall as the page - Any width from 320 to 3840 pixels, with Mobile, Tablet, Laptop and Desktop presets. Only the page is emulated - your window stays as it is - Long pages are walked to their real end first, so lazy-loaded images and blocks that fade in as you scroll are in the picture, and a fixed header appears once - Switches to hide floating elements, close up empty space, and photograph screen by screen - Saved as a PNG or a JPG, and a very tall shot in parts if you ask. A long page is saved whole - While a full page or a tall area is shot, a dark cover over the page shows the progress and a Cancel (a page photographed screen by screen is shown instead). The cover is never in the picture About the permissions Chrome lists three: access the page debugger backend, read and change all your data on all websites, and manage your downloads. The first two come from the screenshot tool: Chrome's debugger interface is what lets the extension show a page at another width and photograph all of it, and Chrome attaches its broadest data warning to that interface. Chrome does not allow that permission to be asked for later, so it is part of the install. The extension itself requests no website access at install; when a download needs images from a host, Chrome asks you about that host at that moment. The third saves your ZIPs and screenshots into your downloads folder. While a screenshot is being taken, Chrome shows its own bar saying that Quick Image Saving started debugging this browser. It is expected, and it goes as soon as the picture is saved or you press Cancel. Privacy Everything happens on your machine. Images are fetched straight from the websites that host them and are archived and converted in your browser; screenshots are rendered and saved there too; a copy goes only to your own clipboard. There is no account and no analytics of any kind, and nothing is sent to Dev Raiks. Good to know - Works on ordinary http and https pages only - not on chrome:// pages, local files or the Chrome Web Store - If nothing downloads, turn on Cross-Origin Mode in Advanced Mode: it asks Chrome for access to the image hosts and fetches the images from the extension instead - Updating from 0.0.0.9: Chrome turns the extension off until you switch it back on in chrome://extensions and press Re-enable. Nothing you stored is lost - It does not get around logins, paywalls, DRM or a site's access rules. Please respect copyrights, licences and site terms - Figma is a trademark of Figma, Inc. Quick Image Saving is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Figma New in 1.0.1: draw your own screenshot area, long pages no longer cut short, Cancel and progress for screenshots, a cover over the page while it is shot, JPG and split output for very tall shots, one URL rule for many sites, Include SVG icons, and Copy for Figma on every card.
