Lizun
Overview
Shows media playing in browser tabs on the Lizun island
Lizun for the browser shows music and videos playing in your tabs on the Lizun island — a free Windows app that adds a black island at the top of the screen. What it does: • Track title, artist and cover on the island, even when the browser is minimized • Pause, next and previous track, seeking — right from the island, without switching tabs • Progress bar and time • When several tabs play, switch between them on the island • Tabs that were already open are picked up right away, no page reloads needed Why Windows passes music from most apps to the island on its own, but some browsers, such as Yandex Browser, do not. The extension fills that gap and works the same in Yandex Browser, Chrome, Edge, Opera and Brave. Works with sites that support media keys: YouTube, Yandex Music and many more. The extension does not read site layouts, so it keeps working when a site is redesigned. Getting started 1. Install Lizun: https://streetyo.github.io/Lizun/en/ 2. Install this extension. 3. Play some music — it shows up on the island. Privacy The extension sends what is playing only to the Lizun app on your computer. Nothing goes to the internet: no analytics, no ads, no data collection. Requires the Lizun app for Windows. It is free and open source.
