Overview
Test APIs, capture live browser requests, and mock responses with a local-first Chrome API workspace.
MockPilot is a Chrome API testing extension for developers and teams who need to create, inspect, replay, capture, and mock browser requests in one workspace. **API Editor and History** — Build GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE requests in folders. Configure query parameters, headers, JSON or form bodies, authentication, and responses. Replay request history and download API details as a formatted Word document. **API Capture** — Choose a current browser tab, start live capture, filter fetch and XMLHttpRequest activity, and save captured requests directly to API Editor. **Mock Server** — Enable a mock per request with a custom status code, response body, headers, and delay. Review active mock rules, toggle individual mocks, edit a rule in API Editor, or pause mocking globally. **Environments and variables** — Create DEV, UAT, PROD, or custom environments inside a workspace. Use `{{variableName}}` in URLs, headers, and bodies and switch the active environment without rewriting requests. **Workspaces** — Create, rename, update, delete, import, and export workspaces with folders, requests, environments, history, and mock configuration. MockPilot stores workspace data locally in the browser using IndexedDB. It does not require a MockPilot account or remote workspace dashboard. API requests still go to the target URLs you enter, and capture or mocking uses the Chrome permissions shown during installation.
