Mochi — desktop cat helper

Lets Mochi, your desktop cat, see the page you ask about, point at things, type drafts, and close tabs when your time is up.

Mochi is a little cat who lives on your desktop. This extension lets her into your browser, so she can help with the page you're on. It works with the free Mochi desktop app, and it only ever talks to that app on your own computer. WHAT SHE CAN DO • Look at the page with you. Ask "which of these is the best deal?" and she reads what's on screen and walks over to point at it. • Point at things. She hops onto the product, result or button you're looking for and gives it a little tap. • Type a draft for you. Ask for a reply and she types it into the message box. She never presses send. That's always your call. • Press buttons and pick options, when you ask. She checks with you before anything that sends, buys or deletes. • Keep your time limits. Set a limit in the app ("30 minutes of video a day"), and when it runs out she swipes the tab closed with her paw. You can reopen it from the app. • Notice what's playing, so she knows when you're listening to something. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything goes only to the Mochi app on the same computer, over a local connection. Nothing goes to the developer's servers. • She reads a page only when you chat with her about it. • She never reads incognito windows, or pages with password fields, banking, sign-in or checkout. • No account, no analytics, no ads, and no code loaded from the internet. HOW TO START 1. Get the Mochi app from https://toebeanstudio.github.io/mochi/ and open it. 2. Add this extension. The toolbar icon shows "Connected to Mochi" once they find each other. 3. Chat with Mochi about any page. Mochi is free. Some features, like reading and helping with pages, are part of Mochi Pro, a one-time purchase in the app. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc.
