Silex — Free Gambling Blocker

Free: blocks 290,000+ gambling, betting and casino sites. When one is blocked, you get a calm page with real help instead.

Silex blocks more than 290,000 gambling, sports betting, casino and slots sites in your browser. It's free, it has no account, and it sends nothing anywhere. When you open a blocked site, you don't get an error page. You get a calm one: • A one-minute breathing circle. Gambling urges usually peak and pass in 20 to 30 minutes, whether or not you bet — the trick is getting through them. • Free crisis helplines for where you are, in your language (English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian and Chinese). • An honest note: any browser extension can be removed in seconds, this one included. If you want a block you can't undo in a weak moment, self-exclusion works at the source — we link to how. Private by design: • No account, no analytics, no data collected. • The extension makes no network requests. Blocking happens inside your browser, using its built-in blocking feature. • The domain list is bundled in the extension and derived from The Blocklist Project (public domain) and the UT1 lists of Université Toulouse Capitole (CC BY-SA 4.0). Found a gambling site that isn't blocked? Use "Tell us" in the toolbar popup. Silex also makes an iPhone app that blocks gambling across the whole phone and walks you through a 90-day program. The extension is free and works on its own. Silex is not medical care and doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. If you're in crisis, the help page lists free helplines.
