EyeCare Plus – Eye Break Reminder & 20-20-20 Timer

Rest your eyes with 20-20-20 break reminders, guided eye exercises, break overlay, daily stats, work hours & dark mode.

EyeCare Plus helps you rest your eyes AND see how much you actually work. It reminds you to take regular screen breaks using the popular 20-20-20 rule — every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds — to help reduce eye strain and eye fatigue from long screen sessions. And with built-in statistics, it tracks your active time, breaks taken, daily streaks and history — so you can care for your eyes and stay productive at the same time. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💡 WHY I BUILT THIS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I built EyeCare Plus because I needed it myself. I tried several eye-break reminders, but they all had the same problem — they kept nagging me even when I had stepped away from my computer, was watching a movie, or when my PC was asleep. None of them were actually smart about when NOT to interrupt me. So, as a developer, I built the extension I wished existed — one that understands what you're doing: • Stepped away from your desk? It quietly pauses after the time you choose. • Watching a movie? With no keyboard or mouse activity it pauses too — or keep reminders on if you prefer. • Computer asleep or locked overnight? It never wakes you with pointless alerts. And when you come back, it picks up right where it left off — no random reminders, no broken timers. I made it to actually work — for me, and for everyone. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 👁️ REST YOUR EYES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • 20-20-20 eye break reminders with an adjustable interval (1–60 min) • Beautiful on-screen break overlay with guided eye exercises — look far, blink, focus shift, rest, and gentle eye rolls, each with a calming animation • Adjustable break duration (30 seconds to 30 minutes) and one-click skip or snooze • 13 gentle and classic alert sounds (soft chimes, bells, marimba and more) or upload your own — with adjustable volume • Optional desktop notification and toolbar flash • Take a break anytime with a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+B / Cmd+Shift+B) • Light & dark mode ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📊 TRACK YOUR FOCUS & WORK HOURS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • See your active screen time and breaks taken every day • 7-day, 30-day, this-month and 12-month history charts • Daily streaks and insights to build a healthy habit • See how many hours you spent at the screen — not just when to break • Export your history as a CSV file ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🧠 SMART IDLE & SLEEP DETECTION ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Pauses when you step away and resumes where it left off when you return • Pauses while your computer sleeps or is locked — and starts a fresh cycle after a long rest (6+ hours) • Optional "remind even when idle" mode if you WANT reminders during videos • Manual pause whenever you need it • Work-hours schedule — only remind you during chosen hours • Custom reminder message ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔒 100% PRIVATE • LIGHTWEIGHT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Everything stays on your device. No tracking, no accounts, no servers — your data never leaves your browser. The extension is tiny and fast, so it won't slow you down. Perfect for developers, designers, writers, students, gamers, and anyone who spends long hours at a screen and wants to take regular eye breaks and build a healthier, more productive routine. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ❤️ A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I built EyeCare Plus on my own time to help people take better care of their eyes.
