Drafts and selected incoming-message text are not sent to Flow Translate servers or another translation server, and the extension does not persistently store them. Messages you send are transmitted through the normal WhatsApp flow. Chrome may download required language models from Google. Internet access is also needed for license pairing and verification. WHAT THE EXTENSION READS The extension processes a draft only when you press Translate or press Enter with automatic translation enabled. For incoming messages, it reads the text of an individual message only after you click the translation button on that message. It does not automatically scan your chat history and does not read your contacts or browsing history. Flow Translate runs only on web.whatsapp.com and does not activate on other websites.
