Overview

All features free. Capture a scrolling page as one image, annotate or blur it, then slice to A4 and save as PDF or images.

A capture tool that turns a long web page into one image, and that image into a document. Every feature is free to use right now. ■ Four ways to capture • Visible area — exactly what is on screen • Region — just the rectangle you drag (Ctrl+Shift+L) • Element — hover a table or article and click to capture only that • Scrolling — walks the whole page into a single image (Ctrl+Shift+K) Every shortcut can be changed or assigned from the extensions page. Scrolling capture works on the full page width, a width you drag, or a scrollable area inside the page such as a chat pane or side panel. You can stop at any point with [Stop and keep], or cancel with ESC. Floating headers are hidden automatically so they do not repeat on every tile. ■ Not just captures Open an image file you already have and edit it the same way. Use the [Open image] button, paste with Ctrl+V, or drop a file on the window. If you are in the middle of editing, it asks first, so nothing you drew is lost. (Image files only — PDF files cannot be opened.) ■ Turn a long capture into a document Slice the stitched image to A4 or Letter and save it as a multi-page PDF. Three ways to split: • Even — equal heights. • Auto — cuts at heading, paragraph and blank-space edges so text is not sliced apart. • Manual — click the preview to place split lines and drag them where you want. Each page can match its slice height so no blank space is left underneath, or every page can keep the chosen size for printing. Page numbers and an address or timestamp footer are optional. ■ Editing Mark things up with boxes, ellipses, triangles, pentagons, hexagons, stars, lines, arrows and freehand strokes, then add text and numbered badges. Blur private details with the mosaic, or use the spotlight to keep one area bright and dim everything around it. • Set the stroke colour and the fill colour separately; text gets its own outline colour and width. • Select a shape and handles appear to resize it. Text and numbered badges resize the same way. • Double-click text to change what it says. • Drag empty space to select several at once, and Ctrl+click to add or remove. Selected shapes move together, and the box around them resizes them all at once. • Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V copy and paste shapes. • Trim the outer margins with one click, or adjust each of the four edges yourself. Everything you draw is included in every format you save. ■ Ways to save • Copy to clipboard • Full-length PNG • Full-length single-page PDF • Split PDF, one page per slice • Split images packed into a single ZIP • Merge several captures from the library into one PDF (the order you tick them is the page order) ■ Privacy Captured images stay inside your browser and are never sent to any server. No analytics, no ads, no network requests. The extension does not ask for standing access to every site — it only touches the tab you are on when you press capture. ■ Good to know • Chrome does not allow extension overlays in its built-in PDF viewer, so only [Capture visible area] works there. Capture each PDF page, then merge them from the library into a single PDF. • To capture a file:// page, turn on "Allow access to file URLs" on the extensions page. ■ Frequently asked questions Q. How do I take a screenshot of an entire web page? A. Install it and press Ctrl+Shift+K. It scrolls the page for you, captures each screenful and stitches them into one image, however long the page is. Q. How do I save a long web page as a PDF? A. Capture the page, then choose Split PDF. The long image is sliced to A4 or Letter and written out as a multi-page PDF. You can also keep it as one tall single-page PDF. Q. Can I split a long screenshot into A4 pages? A. Three ways: even heights, automatic, or manual. Automatic cuts at heading and paragraph edges so text is never sliced apart. Q. Is there a free full page screenshot extension? A. This one. PDF splitting, annotation and ZIP export are all free, with no watermark, no page limit and no account. Q. Does it upload my screenshots anywhere? A. No. Capturing, editing and PDF generation all happen inside your browser. There are no analytics, no ads and no network requests. Q. Can I capture a scrolling area inside a page, like a chat panel? A. Yes. Scrolling capture works on the full page width, a width you drag, or a scrollable container inside the page. Q. Can I blur out private information before saving? A. Yes. The mosaic tool covers names, emails and account numbers. Q. Can I edit an image file I already have? A. Yes. Use [Open image], paste with Ctrl+V, or drop the file on the window, then edit, split and save exactly as you would a capture. Q. Can I stop a capture halfway? A. Yes. [Stop and keep] ends the capture and keeps what has been collected so far, and ESC cancels outright. ■ Pricing A free plan will always be available. Some advanced features may move to a paid plan in the future. ■ Guides https://scrollstudio-app.netlify.app/guide/
