Resume Tailor & ATS Checker - Match Your Resume to Any Job Description
Overview
Use this resume tailor and ats resume checker to match resume to job description. See your score and missing keywords in Chrome.
🎯 WorkMe is a resume tailor and ats resume checker that lives inside your browser, right on the pages where you apply for jobs. Upload your file once — PDF or Word — and the extension scores it against every job ad you open. It works on the big job boards and on most company career pages. No switching tabs, no pasting into a separate tool. You open a posting, a card appears above the description, and you see the gap between your resume and job description in seconds. 🚀 Getting started takes under a minute: 1. Add the extension to Chrome from the store page 2. Click the extension icon and upload your file 3. Open any job ad on a supported site 4. See your match score and the skills you need to add 📊 What happens when you open a job ad A card drops above the job description. It reads "Needs work," "Getting close," or "Strong match" and shows the percent next to the label. Below that, the card lists the skills the posting asks for and which ones are missing from your file. The ats resume checker also underlines keywords in the job description, so you see what the employer values while you read. Click "See details" to open the side panel. Four groups appear: ➤ Skills you have that the job ad wants ➤ Skills your experience covers but your wording does not mention ➤ Skills the posting asks for that are missing from your file ➤ Other words and phrases the job description uses Tap any skill to confirm you really have it. The score updates instantly. This is how to tailor resume to job description — you see which keywords move the match and decide what to change before you apply. 1️⃣ The match score loads with the page. No click needed. 2️⃣ Missing skills are listed in plain language, pulled straight from the job ad. 3️⃣ The "Close, but not named" group catches skills your background covers but your file leaves out — the part most people miss when they tailor resume wording on their own. 4️⃣ The toolbar popup lets you upload or replace your file at any time. 5️⃣ Tap "Score this page" in the popup to run the resume checker on any page that holds a single job ad. 6️⃣ A toggle in the popup hides the card when you want to browse without the overlay. 📌 Your resume is saved in your browser The ai resume checker runs on WorkMe's server. It reads the job ad and your resume, calculates the result, and sends it back. Your resume is not kept on the server. The ad's skill data is cached for 30 days. - Your file is saved only in your browser - No account and no sign-up - Upload a new one whenever you want - Works with PDF and Word documents 🔍 Using the ats resume checker without uploading Even before you upload, the card appears on every job ad. It shows how many hard and soft skills the posting contains and lists them. You can scan postings, compare different job roles matching your experience, and decide which openings deserve a tailored resume before you start editing. 🎓 Students checking how their resume stacks up against real postings and finding which skills to add before applying 💼 Professionals switching roles who need to match resume to job description and see which experience translates 🌍 Job seekers on multiple sites who want the same resume score check on every job board they use ❓ How does it match resume to job description? 💡 The ats resume checker reads the job ad and your resume with AI. It pulls out skills and keywords, then calculates a resume and job description match in percent. Confirm a skill you have and the score updates on the spot. ❓ Which sites does it support? 💡 Most job boards and company career pages. For any other page, use "Score this page" in the popup. ❓ Does it store my file on a server? 💡 No. Your file is saved only in your browser. Each check sends its text to our server, which does not keep it. ❓ Can I check a page that the extension did not detect? 💡 Open the page, click the WorkMe icon, and tap "Score this page." It works on any page that holds one job ad. ❓ What does "Close, but not named" mean? 💡 These are skills your experience likely covers but your resume text does not name. Adding each one raises the resume job description match. ❓ Will it tailor resume text for me? 💡 Resume tailoring ai is coming soon. Right now the ats resume checker shows the skills and keywords to add, so you know exactly how to tailor resume to job description on your own. 🏁 Add WorkMe to Chrome today. Open a job ad, see your score, and know what to fix before you apply. Questions or feedback — hi@workme.net.
