MM Evening Sunset

A dark Chrome theme in evening sunset colors: deep purple frame, midnight blue New Tab page, and soft pink accents. By MM Web.

MM Evening Sunset is a dark Chrome theme in the colors of dusk: a deep evening-purple window frame, a dark plum toolbar, a midnight blue New Tab page, and soft sunset pinks and peach tones in the details. It's made for people who like dark mode but want something warmer than plain black or gray. The colors stay calm and low-key, so the theme feels at home during an afternoon of work or a late evening of reading, while a few warm accents give Chrome a quiet sunset glow. How it looks - Window frame: deep evening purple - Toolbar and bookmarks bar: a slightly lighter dark plum, so the tab strip, toolbar, and address bar stay visually distinct - Active tab: warm off-white text - Background tabs: pale lavender text - Address bar: a dark plum field with bright off-white text - Toolbar icons: a soft apricot tint, the warmest touch in the theme - New Tab page: a solid midnight blue background with light text Designed to stay readable Every text color in MM Evening Sunset was checked against the background it sits on using the WCAG contrast formula, and each pair clears the 4.5:1 guideline for normal text by a wide margin. Chrome decides exactly how some interface elements are drawn, so details can vary slightly between Chrome versions and operating systems. A purple Chrome theme that is still a true dark browser theme Many sunset themes cover the whole browser in bright gradients. MM Evening Sunset keeps its evening colors understated in the frame, tabs, and toolbar, so your browser looks distinctive without competing with the pages you visit. Good to know MM Evening Sunset is a native Chrome theme. It changes the colors of Chrome's own interface: the window frame, tabs, toolbar, address bar, bookmarks bar, and New Tab page. It does not change how websites look, it contains no scripts, and it requests no permissions. Menus, dialogs, settings pages, and Incognito windows may follow Chrome's own styling or your system's light or dark mode instead. Getting started Click "Add to Chrome" and the theme is applied right away. To return to Chrome's default look, open Settings, choose Appearance, and select "Reset to default" next to Theme.
