XFetch — X (Twitter) Video, Image & GIF Downloader
Overview
Download videos, images, and GIFs from X (Twitter). GIFs are saved as real animated .gif files, not MP4s.
XFetch adds a download button to any tweet with video, a GIF, or images. Click it, pick what you want, done. Twitter "GIFs" aren't GIFs. They're MP4s. Most downloaders hand you that MP4 or send you off to a conversion site. XFetch converts them to real .gif files right in your browser. Nothing gets uploaded anywhere. FEATURES • One-click download button on videos, images, and GIFs • Real .gif output, converted locally, no third-party sites • Live progress on the button during conversion • Quality presets: Low (360p·10fps), Medium (480p·15fps), High (720p·24fps) • Custom filename templates using {username}, {tweetid}, {date}, {type}, {index} • Right-click menu support • Works on both x.com and twitter.com SETTINGS Right-click the extension icon → Options. Turn GIF conversion off to save the original MP4 instead. PRIVACY No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. Nothing leaves your browser. Conversion happens on your machine. Settings are stored locally. NOTES Doesn't work on private/protected tweets. Higher quality presets mean larger files and longer conversion. For personal use. Respect X's Terms of Service. XFetch is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp.
