Overview

Find the people on your LinkedIn who can help.

Tell Orbit what you need, like a job, a client or someone to hire. It reads through everyone you are connected to and shows you who to talk to first, with the reason for each person. How it works 1. Click Orbit in your Chrome toolbar. It opens over LinkedIn, and opens LinkedIn if no tab is open. 2. Press Continue and pick an AI. Your connections come in as a map, along with the recommendations written for you. 3. Ask. What to ask Hiring and recruiting. Describe who you need and Orbit picks the closest matches from people you already know, including anyone whose headline shows they are open to work. Selling and finding clients. Find the warm way into a company you want to reach, and the past clients who already know your work. Looking for work. Ask who you know at a company before you apply, and who says they are hiring. Making intros. Find the people in your network who should meet each other. People you forgot you know. Orbit brings up the ones you connected with years ago, with what they do now. Who vouches for you. Everyone who wrote you a recommendation shows up together, in their own words. Free, with your own AI Answers come from the AI account you already have, Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Each question counts toward the limits of that plan. With no AI you still get the map, the list of people and your recommendations. Why I made it For the last couple of months I have been getting back into LinkedIn and reconnecting with old friends, colleagues and clients. What got me was how connected everyone is. Everything I have done came through a referral or someone who knew me, and I never even had a website. I wanted to see that. Not a flat chart full of straight lines, a live map of everyone I am connected to on LinkedIn, where you tap anyone and see how they connect to the rest. Now you can ask it things. Where is my next gig most likely to come from. Who is looking for work that I could help. The point is helping people find their next thing. Pat ✌️ What Orbit reads Each connection's name and headline. Their photo and profile link. The date you connected. Every recommendation someone wrote for you. Your own name, headline and picture, to show who is signed in. All of it comes through the LinkedIn login open in this browser, and your password never reaches Orbit. To ask, the extension uses that login's session cookies, which go back to the same site and nowhere else. Orbit only reads. It never posts, messages or connects with anyone. LinkedIn's user agreement restricts tools that read a profile for its owner, and LinkedIn can limit an account over it. Use another account signs this browser out of LinkedIn first. Where it goes Orbit has no server, so nothing it reads ever reaches us. Your connections stay in Chrome until you sign out of LinkedIn or Orbit, or remove the extension. A question you ask goes to the AI you picked, through the login open there. It travels with who you are, as LinkedIn shows it. One line about every connection goes too. Each line gives the person's name, headline and company, how you know them and the year you connected. A recommendation adds its opening words. A follow up also carries your last two questions and their answers. Photos are never sent. Orbit asks Claude and ChatGPT on their own sites, in a background tab that closes once the answer is in, and opens their private chat, Incognito on Claude and Temporary on ChatGPT. Gemini keeps the question in your history there, where you can delete it. Orbit is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn, Anthropic, OpenAI or Google. Gemini is a trademark of Google LLC.
