Your notes, your clipboard history, your generated passwords, your search engine preferences — none of it ever leaves your device. WorkBox doesn't need an account, a login, or a subscription. WHAT WORKBOX LETS YOU DO Smart clipboard manager A complete history of everything you copy — text as well as images — with automatic category detection (email, link, password, code, color, phone number, address, and more). Pin important items so you never lose them, search your entire history by typing just a few letters, and filter by category or date. Detected passwords and API keys are automatically masked so they don't sit exposed on screen. No more losing what you copied five minutes ago. Notes and tasks A Markdown notes editor with live formatting (bold, italic, headings, lists, quotes, code blocks, clickable links) organized into color-coded tabs, to keep your ideas, code snippets, or drafts within reach. A built-in to-do list with priority levels sits right next to your notes, so nothing slips through. Full-featured calculator A calculator built for speed: type full expressions directly, use keyboard shortcuts, and get a running history of your last 20 calculations. Always one tap away from any page — no need to open a separate calculator app. Unit & currency converter Convert length, weight, volume, temperature, area, speed, time, and 37 world currencies — over 60 units in total, with exchange rates that refresh automatically. Color picker with screen-wide eyedropper Pick any color displayed anywhere on your screen — not just inside the browser tab — with a single click, and get the HEX, RGB, and HSL codes instantly, ready to copy. Comes with curated palettes (Material, Pastel, Neon, Dark) and a history of your recent picks. Built for designers, developers, or anyone who wants to reproduce a color they spotted somewhere. Password generator Generate strong, cryptographically random passwords, with fine-grained control over length (3–128 characters) and character types, plus a real entropy-based strength meter — so you never have to reuse "password123" on a new account again. Timer & stopwatch Set a countdown timer to stay focused, manage a break, or time a work session — it keeps running and alerts you even if the popup is closed. The stopwatch tracks laps with split times down to the hundredth of a second, for anything you need to time precisely. Local music player Play your own local audio files (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A) directly from the popup, with a full player, playlist, and background playback — no need to open a separate media app or upload your files anywhere. Image compressor Shrink PNG, JPEG, and WebP images before emailing them, uploading them to a site with a size limit, or just to save space — real compression through color quantization (not a simple resize), without forcing a conversion to JPEG. All processing happens locally; no image is ever sent online. AI-free search — remove Google AI Overview, Bing Copilot & more Tired of AI-generated summaries taking over your search results? WorkBox strips the AI answer from Google (AI Overview / AI Mode), Bing (Copilot), Brave Search, DuckDuckGo (AI Assist), and Qwant — restoring a classic list of links, automatically, as soon as you search. A one-click detector can even figure out which of these five engines is your actual default and turn on the right protection for you. App lock Protect access to your WorkBox data with a local password, with a recovery code in case you ever forget it. Useful if you share your computer or simply want to keep your notes and clipboard private. Backup, export & import Export your notes, clipboard, tasks, and pinned colors to a link or a JSON file to back them up or move them to another computer — import always adds to what's already there, never overwrites. Private items and passwords are automatically excluded from any export. WorkBox only calls an external service for one specific feature — fetching current exchange rates for the currency converter — and nothing else. No account to create, no telemetry, no ads. Quick to access: a keyboard shortcut (Alt+W) opens WorkBox instantly from any page, and a right-click on any selected text lets you add it to your notes, your clipboard, or a new task without even opening the popup.
