Jumpscare Defender
ExtensionAccessibility
Overview
Subdues sudden loud audio on a tab briefly to keep you from getting startled.
Do you like horror movies but hate jump scares? Tired of loud, startling sounds when watching videos? When enabled, this extension detects sudden loud sounds and softens the impact. It works by adding a barely noticeable 30 millisecond delay to detect and intercept scares, then briefly lower the volume. You can adjust the sensitivity to meet your needs. At high values it may have more false-positives. This extension doesn't collect any of your information. If you see "This tab's content is being shared" when it is enabled, that is because it needs to capture the tab's audio to "share" it with the worker in your browser.
