EasyReading
Overview
Make any webpage easier to read.
EasyReading makes any webpage easier to read. Turn on one switch and the page you are reading is restyled to suit your eyes and your brain. Pick a starting point, then fine-tune anything you like: DYSLEXIA • OpenDyslexic reading font, plus Lexend and other easy-reading fonts • Generous letter, word, line and paragraph spacing • Bionic reading — bolds the start of each word to guide your eyes • Reading ruler that highlights just the line you are on • Coloured screen tints to reduce glare • Read aloud — select any text and hear it spoken LOW VISION • Scale text up to 200% on any site • High contrast mode and bolder text • Magnifier that enlarges the text under your cursor • Large cursor and thick, visible focus outlines • Comfortable dark mode COLOUR BLINDNESS • Correction filters for deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia • Adjusts page colours so similar shades become easier to tell apart FOCUS • Line focus — greys out the page and lifts the paragraph you are reading • Hide images and reduce motion to cut distraction • Narrower columns so lines are easier to track PRIVATE BY DESIGN EasyReading makes no network requests at all. Your settings are saved on your own computer and never leave it. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Note: EasyReading changes how pages look. It is not a screen reader — people who are blind are better served by dedicated screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver.
