Worked as advertised.

Perfect. Right-click on any image on a website and choose "Open background image in a new tab." A new tab opens with the full graphic just as advertised. If your image DOES NOT OPEN in a new tab it is not because this "View background image" extension DOES NOT WORK! It is because you are trying to right-click and open an image that has an overlay on top of it. Most overlays are invisible and may link to some other website. It doesn't work

Does not seem to work. I tried reloading the tabs, and restarting Chrome. Tried with several websites.

I've tried a few similar extensions, and so far this is the best one. The other extensions will in some cases open multiple background images from the page (each in a separate tab), whereas this one opens only the image I'm pointing to. As a bonus, this extension is TINY!

Yes, it works PERFECTLY fine. Just reload any open existing tabs people before you go writing that it doesn't work. Perhaps less quick to say things don't work without putting in the least bit of effort..

It *does* work. You need to reload the tab/page. At least for HTML elements which have a background-image style attribute/CSS
