Mito — live translated transcripts
Overview
Live word-synced transcript + translation overlay for any YouTube video, in any language — no captions required.
Watch any YouTube video in your language. Mito listens to the audio that is actually playing and shows a live, word-synced transcript with translation — powered by real speech recognition, not captions. It works on videos with no subtitles at all: fresh uploads, dubs, lectures, podcasts, streams. FEATURES • Live transcript with per-word karaoke sync — words light up as they're spoken • Translation into 20 languages; source language detected automatically • Click any sentence to replay it (auto-pauses at the end while paused) • Flip which language leads — learn actively, not passively • Scroll back through everything said; copy any line • Switch audio tracks mid-video and Mito follows automatically • Beautiful glass overlay docked inside the player, left or right SETUP (beta) The beta runs with a small local helper app and your own Mistral API key — see the install guide linked on our site. A hosted, one-click version is coming. PRIVACY Audio is processed transiently and never stored. Transcripts are saved as text only. No tracking, no data sales.
