Mirror Windows
Overview
Every window shows the same tabs. Open a tab in any window and the live page moves there, typing, scroll and video intact.
Use several windows without juggling tabs between them. Mirror Windows keeps every Chrome window showing the same tabs, in the same order. Each page is one live tab: open it in any window and that same page moves there, so half-typed forms, scroll position, a playing video and logged-in state all come with it. The other windows keep a stand-in tab for it until you open it there; turn on page previews and the stand-in shows a blurred picture of the page. • Same tabs, same order in every window, including new windows • Pinned tabs are shared too • Tab groups too: same name, colour, collapsed state and tabs in every window • New tab (Cmd/Ctrl+T), close a tab, reorder: mirrored everywhere • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+T brings a closed tab back, shared again • Tab list survives a browser restart • Click the toolbar button to turn syncing off or on; right-click it for a window that isn't mirrored • Optional blurred page previews on the stand-in tabs, with a list of sites never to preview • Works with windows side by side or stacked • Settings: whether focusing a window brings the page over, or only a click does Privacy: everything stays on your computer.
