Download Panopto lecture recordings you have access to — from folder view, viewer pages, and Canvas-embedded videos.

Panopto Video Downloader adds a small download panel to Panopto and Canvas pages so you can save lecture recordings you already have permission to view — without opening each video one by one. FEATURES • Canvas support: detects Panopto videos embedded in Canvas pages (including LTI embeds) and lists them in one panel with a Download All button. • Panopto folder view: fetch every recording in a folder and download all of them, or a numbered range. • Panopto viewer: one-click download of the video you're watching. • Choose a subfolder inside Downloads so a whole course lands in one place. • When a recording has no direct MP4 (HLS-only streams), the extension copies ready-to-run yt-dlp commands to your clipboard as a fallback. IMPORTANT This extension only downloads recordings your own account can already watch. It does not bypass any authentication, paywall, or access control — it uses your existing browser session. Please respect your institution's policies and the content owner's rights when saving recordings. Works with institutional Panopto sites (*.panopto.com / *.panopto.eu) and Canvas (*.instructure.com).
