Xress Extension will not load

I cannot get the Xpress Extension to load. When I click the icon the Express logo appears however, it just spins until I click exit to leave the extension. Would love to be able to use this tool but I cant seem to get it to work.

I get an error...

The error message from chrome is...

We are sorry, but chrome reserved pages (new tab, extensions, etc) and chrome web store are not supported. Please try another page.

What do I do?

Highlighting in google docs

On a website if I highlight and scroll the highlight stays with the text. BUT....when I highlight in a google doc the highlight does not move with it. IS there anyway to fix that????????

Trouble Exiting after Switching Modes

When I switch from Text mode to Shapes/Pen/Highlight mode (by double-clicking the letter P at the left), I am unable to go back to the Snapshot tool and capture the screen I made. I am also unable to exit the toolbar without closing and re-opening the tab. This is in version 2.1.3.

Wondering if this extension is actively being worked on, hoping to see a premium version that eliminates the branding and allows for 3rd party webcam use?
