Mining — Save Web Excerpts to Obsidian
Overview
Capture Ideas while browsing and Store in Your Obsidian
Mining is a Chrome extension for capturing web excerpts and turning them into structured memos you can save directly into your Obsidian vault as Markdown files. Key features: - Create a new memo from the side panel with the current page title as the default title. - Add selected text via the context menu (“Add to Mining”) to create a memo with a blockquote automatically. - Attach source metadata (URL and page title) when saving. - Save directly to a user-selected Obsidian vault folder using the File System Access API. - Handle file name conflicts by letting you overwrite or rename. - Manage memos locally (create, edit, delete) without sending any data to external servers. All data stays on your device: memos are stored locally in Chrome storage and written to your local vault only when you export.
