Overview
Declutter X/Twitter with calm controls: hide ads, counts, trends, drawers, and visual clutter.
Minimal X is a lightweight Chrome extension that turns X.com (formerly Twitter) into a cleaner, calmer reading space. It hides ads, noisy side panels, engagement clutter, Grok buttons, drawers, and other distractions while keeping the core timeline and post controls usable. 🧹 What it can hide: - Promoted posts and Explore promotions - The right rail, including trends, verified orgs, footer links, and related modules - Reply, repost, like, bookmark, and view counts - Share buttons on posts - Grok action buttons - Bottom-right Grok and Chat drawers - Extra navigation items such as Grok, Premium, Creator Studio, and Articles - The Home composer and new-post pill, if you want an even quieter feed ⚙️ Key features: - Works automatically on X.com - Simple popup toggles for every cleanup option - Sensible defaults with optional customization - Compact icon-only left sidebar - Center timeline layout when compact sidebar and hide right rail are enabled - Applies cleanup to dynamically loaded posts as you scroll - Lightweight, local, and privacy-focused - No analytics, tracking, remote scripts, or data collection 🔒 Privacy: Your settings are saved with Chrome sync. Minimal X does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or analyze your browsing data. ✨ How it works: Minimal X uses a Chrome content script to apply your selected cleanup settings directly on X.com pages. It watches for newly loaded timeline content and applies the same cleanup automatically, so infinite scroll stays consistent.
