MindDory: Vocabulary Builder & Grammar Checker

Select a word on any page to see the translation and save it as a card. Select a sentence you wrote and it checks your grammar.

You are reading an article, you hit a word you do not know, and that is usually where it ends. By the time you have switched over to an application, you have lost the sentence the word was in, and that sentence is the part you would have remembered. MindDory removes that step. Select a word or a piece of a sentence and the translation appears right at your selection. If you want a card out of it, that is one click, and you stay on the page. WHAT IT DOES - Select text and the translation shows up at the selection, not in another panel. - One click makes a card in MindDory, in the folder you choose. - It recognises which language the text is in and offers the direction that makes sense. - It shows the whole sentence around your selection, so you see the context, not a bare word. - A word with several meanings: you pick the one that is actually there. - "Check": select a sentence you are writing yourself and the bubble tells you what is wrong with it, and one click puts the corrected sentence back into the field. - "Say it fluently": the same sentence the way someone who speaks the language would put it. In both, only the words that actually change are highlighted, so you see the difference instead of reading the sentence twice. - "Save mistakes to Grammar": the mistakes you check, and their fixes, go to the Grammar tab in the MindDory app, so you see which ones keep coming back. Only the wrong words and their fix are sent, never the whole sentence. You can turn it off in the extension menu. - While you type in English, a mistake gets a dotted underline, and hovering over it shows the fix. That check runs inside the extension, on your device. - "Learn from my writing", optional and off by default: the mistakes underlined while you type also go to your Grammar tab, with your choice Fix or Dismiss, just like the MindDory keyboard on your phone. The Active Words screen in MindDory then shows which English words you really use. Only the wrong words and their fix, and for each word the dictionary form, the day and the count, leave the browser, never the sentence or the page. - A per-site off switch. A page where you do not want it simply does not get it. WHAT IT WILL NOT READ Password fields, one-time code fields, and payment fields. That guard runs before anything else, so in a field like that the text is not read at all. No bubble, no sending, no memory. The guard knows a field, not a page: a card number written in the ordinary text of a page is text like any other, and selecting it sends it the way any selection is sent.
