Mindbaton
Overview
Remembers what you tell every AI, keeps whole chats in Live mode, and hands a full chat to another AI
Tell one AI. Every AI knows. Mindbaton gives the AI chat sites you use one shared memory, and that memory lives on your own computer, not in someone else's cloud. This extension is the browser half of Mindbaton, a free, open-source memory server you run yourself on a computer you already own. You need that server; setup instructions are at github.com/DkshByte/mindbaton. What it does: • Saves what you tell AI chatbots about yourself (facts, preferences, plans) to your own Mindbaton • Press Alt+M to bring your memory into a chat, so a new conversation already knows you • Live mode keeps whole conversations and shows how full a chat's context window is • When a chat hits its limit, hand it to another AI with one click and keep going Private by design: • Connects only to the Mindbaton server address you type, after you approve it with a pairing code • Sends nothing to the Mindbaton project or anyone else: no analytics, no ads, no tracking • Pause saving any time; secrets like API keys are removed before anything is stored Free and open source (AGPL-3.0). An independent project, not affiliated with any AI company.
