Mind Catchup

Save web content into an AI-ready Markdown inbox through a local companion.

Mind Catchup is a local-first capture assistant for people who save useful web content now and learn from it later. It turns selected text or readable page content into structured Markdown learning packets with source metadata, inbox status, follow-up questions, agent-ready tasks, and the original captured content. You can store the files in an Obsidian Vault or any local folder that your AI agent can read. How it works: 1. Select text on a web page, or open a page you want to save. 2. Click the Mind Catchup extension. 3. Preview the source title, URL, selection, and fallback content. 4. Save the note into your local Markdown inbox through the companion app. 5. Review it later in Obsidian or hand the .md file to Codex, Claude, Cursor, or another AI agent. What makes it different: - Save-now-learn-later workflow: capture quickly, process later. - AI-ready Markdown: notes include status, learning stage, source metadata, and suggested agent tasks. - Local companion workflow: content is written directly to your chosen local folder. - Minimal permissions: the extension uses only activeTab, scripting, and storage. - No default AI processing: page content is not sent to AI providers by default. - Independent tool: Mind Catchup is not affiliated with Obsidian and is not the official Obsidian Web Clipper. Requirements: - Google Chrome. - The local Mind Catchup companion running on your computer. - A local knowledge folder, such as an Obsidian Vault or Markdown workspace. Privacy: Mind Catchup is local-first. Captured content is sent only to the local companion service on your machine and written into your chosen folder by default.
