MIME Filter intercepts every browser download and checks it against rules you define, before the file ever lands on disk. HOW IT WORKS - Choose Allowlist mode (only listed MIME types are permitted, everything else is blocked) or Denylist mode (listed types are blocked, everything else passes). - Add rules by exact MIME type (application/pdf) or by prefix (image/ matches every image type). - Blocked downloads are cancelled and removed from your download history automatically. ACTIVITY LOG Every allowed and blocked download is recorded locally with the MIME type, source URL, timestamp, and the reason it was allowed or blocked. Export the log to JSON at any time. Nothing is sent anywhere — the log lives only in your browser's local storage. NOTIFICATIONS Optional desktop notifications alert you the moment a download is blocked.
