MikroTik DNS Helper

Adds current page or Network request domains to MikroTik RouterOS static DNS.

MikroTik DNS Helper adds domains to your MikroTik RouterOS static DNS table directly from the browser, using the RouterOS REST API — no terminal or Winbox needed. FEATURES Popup - Automatic router detection when the popup opens, with a connection status indicator. - Profile picker for multiple saved routers/configurations. - One-click add for the current page's domain, with a Domain/Host switch. - Preview chip showing exactly what will be created: record type, target, match-subdomain, address-list, and the :resolve server — before you click add. - Network domain collector: view every domain requested by the current tab, grouped by host, with HTTP status and error badges, search, filters, and bulk-add. Options page - Manage multiple RouterOS profiles, each with its own DNS defaults (record type, address/ forward-to, address-list, comment, match-subdomain, resolve behavior, timeout) or inherit global defaults. - Router identity auto-detected via /rest/system/identity, or entered manually. DevTools panel - Same domain/host tools available inside DevTools for working alongside network inspection. Router detection - Tries the last-used profile first, then falls back through saved profiles on the same IP, then other saved IPs, handling auth failures and identity mismatches automatically — it will offer to create or update a profile when it detects a router it doesn't recognize yet. Localized in English and Russian; the browser's language is used automatically. REQUIREMENTS - A MikroTik RouterOS device with the REST API enabled (www or www-ssl service). - A dedicated RouterOS user is recommended. PERMISSIONS This extension only talks to the RouterOS device(s) you configure. It reads the current tab's URL/host and network request metadata (URL, host, status code — never request or response bodies) to power the domain tools, and stores your router profiles locally via the browser's storage API.
