Overview

DevTools XHR/fetch: capture & inspect APIs, edit local/session storage, Postman + cURL ZIP, optional AI.

Requstrix: API traffic in DevTools — capture, inspect, export, replay Requstrix is a Chrome DevTools extension for developers and QA who use the Network tab. Record XHR and fetch calls from any website, inspect request headers, payload, response headers, and response body in one panel — without jumping back to the main Network tab for every detail. What you get • Live capture — Start recording; each XHR/fetch shows up with method, status, URL, and response time. Slow calls over 5 seconds are flagged in the list. • Network-style inspector — Click a row for headers, payload, response (JSON pretty-print when it applies), and Copy as cURL. Toggle the inspector off for a wider list. Filter traffic by name or URL. • Download All Curls — One ZIP with: Postman collection (v2.1) and Postman environment (variables for secrets) One .curl file per request (import a single call into Postman) Raw request JSON per call, summary.json, captured_secrets.json Postman import guide (POSTMAN_IMPORT_GUIDE.md) • Performance reports (Excel-ready CSV) — reports/api_performance_report.csv lists every call with duration (ms and readable text like "5.2 seconds"). reports/slow_apis_over_5_seconds.csv includes only APIs slower than 5 seconds. • PII audit (opt-in, off by default) — Enable PII scan in the toolbar to detect email, phone, name, and other common PII patterns in URLs, headers, and bodies. Findings use masked samples only in the panel and in reports/pii_report.csv. Includes pii_summary.json and PII_REPORT_README.md. Heuristic detection only — not legal or compliance advice. • Secrets-aware export — Sensitive headers and common body tokens are mapped to environment variables (e.g. apiToken) where possible. • Browser storage editor — View and edit localStorage and sessionStorage for the inspected tab (filter keys, inline edit values, add/update/delete). • Optional AI analysis — In Setup AI Analysis, choose OpenAI or Google Gemini, pick a model, and store your key locally. Analyze runs a single batch over captured traffic; results appear in the panel and can be included as ai_analysis.md in the next ZIP. PII patterns are redacted before data is sent to your AI provider. Who it's for Frontend and full-stack engineers, QA engineers reproducing flows, and anyone who wants Postman and cURL exports without rebuilding requests by hand. How to use Open DevTools on the target site → open the Requstrix panel. Click Start, use the app, then Stop. Select rows to inspect, filter slow or PII-tagged APIs, or use Download All Curls for the full bundle. Optionally enable PII scan before capture, set up AI, run Analyze, then export. Permissions (plain language) • Storage — Saves optional AI settings and keys only on your device. AI requests go to OpenAI or Google when you run analysis; nothing is sent to a Requstrix backend. • Host permissions — Allow the extension to work while you debug sites, similar to how DevTools interacts with page context. Notes • Response bodies follow the same rules as Chrome's Network tools (some cross-origin responses may be empty). • Very large bodies may be truncated in the panel for performance; exports reflect what was captured. • PII scanning is disabled until you turn it on. Reports contain masked values only. Developer: Rocky Saini
