Overview

One switch makes every tab gentler: dimmer, softly tinted, darker, still and quiet. For bad-headache days. Not a medical device.

Migraine Mode makes web pages gentler on bad-headache days. One switch (or Alt+Shift+M) applies a calmer preset to every tab, and you set it up in Chrome's side panel. WHAT IT CHANGES • Dimming: dims web pages to match room light: 10%, 25% or 40%. • Soft-green tint by default, based on studies of green light in migraine. Rose (FL-41-style) and amber are options. • Smart dark mode: darkens bright pages and skips sites that are already dark. • Softer contrast: 90% contrast, a little softer and still easy to read. • Softer text stripes: wider line spacing so text looks less like stripes. • Still pages: freezes GIFs, pauses animations and blocks video/audio autoplay. • Reduce motion: stops transitions, parallax and smooth-scroll effects. • Fits your screen: reads resolution, pixel ratio and HDR, plus a 10-second calibration. YOUR SETTINGS • Saved presets you can name, switch, rename and delete. • Schedules: turn on and off automatically by time of day and weekday. • Per-site rules: always on, always off or a preset. EVIDENCE, NOT PROMISES "Why these settings" lists every default with the studies behind it (with DOI), what they found and an evidence level. For most settings the evidence is limited or indirect, and Migraine Mode itself has not been tested in a clinical study. PRICING Every install starts with one free hour, no card needed. After that, Migraine Mode costs 3 USD per month: a Stripe subscription for up to 3 browsers that you can cancel anytime. PRIVACY Migraine Mode works on your device. It does not collect or send the pages you visit or your browsing history, and it does not sell data. It only contacts getmigrainemode.com to run the free trial and check your subscription. Privacy policy: https://getmigrainemode.com/privacy/ Support: https://getmigrainemode.com/support/ IMPORTANT Migraine Mode is a screen-comfort tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent migraine or any other condition, and it does not replace a doctor. It cannot change your monitor's real brightness, backlight or PWM. If you have frequent or severe headaches, see a doctor. Available in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and German. A project by Rodrigo Alonso.
