Overview
Export & backup Midjourney AI art prompts to Obsidian. One-click batch export to Markdown files.
MIDJOURNEY TO OBSIDIAN — EXPORT PROMPTS, IMAGES & HISTORY TO MARKDOWN Turn your creative history into a portable, searchable AI art library. Back up prompts, generated images, parameters, dates, job links, and useful source metadata as clean Markdown files. Organize your best ideas in Obsidian or any Markdown app—and keep your archive readable without being locked into one platform. Whether you are a prompt engineer, designer, artist, researcher, or AI creator, Midjourney to Obsidian helps you preserve successful prompts, compare generation settings, and build a reusable inspiration library. WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT • Build a searchable prompt library for research and inspiration • Batch export your latest creations or complete available history • Download images locally for a more durable offline archive • Save individual creations from supported job pages and image lightboxes • Save individual bot creations from Discord channels • Keep prompts, parameters, dates, source links, and original image URLs together • Import portable Markdown notes into Obsidian and other plain-text tools • Skip creations that have already been archived successfully ARCHIVE YOUR CREATION HISTORY Save your latest 1,000 creations or follow the available history until the export is complete. Each creation becomes a structured Markdown note, making it easier to search, tag, compare, and reuse your past work. Need only one creation? Use the Download Markdown button on a supported job page, image lightbox, or Discord bot message. DOWNLOAD IMAGES LOCALLY Choose whether notes use remote image URLs or locally downloaded attachments. Local images can be saved in a dedicated attachment folder and grouped by date using a portable structure such as: assets/YYYY-MM-DD Notes use relative image paths when a local download succeeds and retain the original online image URL for reference. If an image cannot be downloaded, the note falls back to its remote preview instead of losing the record. PRESERVE USEFUL METADATA Exported notes can include: • Prompt and generation parameters • Creation date • Job link • Original image link • Source page link • Local attachment path • Media type • Video link and cover image when available Video links and cover images are preserved without automatically downloading large video files. DESIGNED FOR PROMPT ENGINEERING Create your own AI art knowledge base for: • Prompt research • Style and parameter comparison • Inspiration collections • Generation experiments • Project references • Long-term creative backups Search years of prompts with Obsidian, VS Code, Typora, Logseq, Joplin, or any application that reads standard Markdown. FLEXIBLE EXPORT SETTINGS Choose: • Markdown output folder • Image attachment folder • Local image or remote URL mode • Date-based attachment grouping • File conflict behavior • Latest or complete-history export • Automatic skipping of archived creations Review export progress, successful downloads, skipped items, warnings, and failed records from the batch workspace. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in and open a supported creation page so the extension can recognize your account. 2. Open the batch workspace. 3. Choose your output folder, attachment settings, and export range. 4. Start the export. 5. Move or import the saved folder into your Obsidian vault or preferred Markdown app. LOCAL, PORTABLE OUTPUT Markdown notes and selected image attachments are saved under your Chrome Downloads directory. There is no proprietary archive format: your notes remain readable with standard text editors and portable between knowledge management tools. PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS Chrome storage is used to remember settings, completed archive IDs, and export history. The downloads permission saves only the files you request. Access to supported creation and Discord pages is used to detect the information needed for user-initiated exports. If you choose to verify a paid plan, the purchase email you enter is sent securely to subscription verification services only to check plan status. Free usage limits apply; an optional paid plan unlocks unlimited batch processing. Only archive content that you own or are authorized to use. Midjourney to Obsidian is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Midjourney, Discord, Obsidian, or any other third-party service.
