Mic Helper: Learning & Meeting Assistant transcribes speech from your active browser tab and selected microphone, then provides concise responses based on the conversation and any optional notes or reference material you provide. See a partial transcript while the speaker is talking and the final text when the phrase ends. Choose a fixed transcription language in settings or leave automatic language handling enabled. The assistant can suggest answers to questions and optionally speak responses aloud. Before each session, the extension explains what audio and text it processes and asks for your consent. You can stop capture from the side panel at any time. While speech is detected, short audio chunks are streamed to OpenAI for live transcription. Transcribed speech, recent conversation turns, and relevant excerpts from context you provide are sent to OpenAI to prepare responses. If you enable spoken responses, response text is sent to OpenAI for speech generation. Your OpenAI API key, settings, and optional context are stored in your Chrome profile and sent directly to OpenAI when needed. The extension publisher does not receive this information. An OpenAI API key is required. OpenAI API usage may incur charges under your OpenAI account. Review the linked privacy policy before use.
