Invoice Generator helps you prepare a readable billing document from your own details and line items. Use this invoice maker to check amounts, print a finished page or save a PDF. Work takes place in a separate browser tab, with drafts stored on your device and no account to create. 💡 A workspace for routine invoicing Keep the form and document preview together. Enter business and client details, give the record a number, choose issue and due dates, then add descriptions, quantities and rates. The invoice builder updates the preview as you edit, so you can spot missing information before printing. Create an invoice with Invoice Generator 1. Open the extension from its toolbar button or the page context menu. 2. Fill the required fields and add the products or services you supplied. 3. Review totals, use Print / Save PDF and choose a printer or Save as PDF in the browser dialog. Build a clear document - Add business and client names with the contact details you need to show. - Attach a local PNG or JPEG logo, or leave the page without an image. - Include payment instructions or a note for the recipient. The preview shows the text you enter; changing the interface language does not translate it. Review the numbers ➤ Each line uses quantity multiplied by rate and rounds to cents. ➤ A percentage discount comes before the single tax rate you enter. ➤ Shipping is added after tax and is not taxed. Amount paid reduces the balance due; it does not record or process a payment. 📌 An invoice program with local drafts Invoice Generator saves edits on this device. Wait for the saved status before closing the tab. Open saved records to continue work, duplicate a previous document or remove an entry you no longer need. A copy has its own draft, so further edits do not replace the original. Keep a backup under your control • Export saved records to a JSON file for safekeeping or transfer. • Import a supported backup to add separate copies, then review repeated document numbers. • Backups contain the details you entered. Store those files carefully; removing extension data does not delete files you have downloaded. Prepare the printed page ▸ Use the preview to review names, dates, descriptions and amounts. ▸ Select Letter paper and default margins in the print dialog. ▸ Turn off browser headers and footers before saving. Longer documents may continue onto additional pages. Share the resulting file yourself when it is ready. Make the next draft your own 1️⃣ Reuse a saved record when similar work needs another document. 2️⃣ Update the number, dates, descriptions and prices for the new job. 3️⃣ Check the revised balance before you generate an invoice for your client. Previous amounts and payment details need your review each time. Language and currency choices The editor, validation messages, document headings and privacy page support 52 languages. A language selector lets you change the interface without changing entered data. Dates display in the Gregorian calendar. Choose USD, EUR, GBP, CAD or AUD for a draft; amounts are not converted between currencies. Enter decimal numbers with a dot. 📍 Practical limits You can keep up to 100 local drafts and add up to 100 items per document. Invalid amounts or missing required details must be corrected before printing. Quantity allows four decimal places and money allows two. One editor tab can hold the workspace at a time; close it before continuing in another tab. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data, so export a backup first if you need to keep your records. Questions and answers Can I make an invoice from selected text? Yes. The selection entry in the page context menu opens a new draft with that text as an item description. It does not gather other page details or complete missing fields. If the menu is unavailable on a restricted page, open the toolbar button and enter your details manually. Does Invoice Generator need an internet connection? Once installed, the editor works offline. There is no cloud sync, analytics or upload of business details. Data stays in the extension storage of the browser profile you use. Will it send documents, collect money or choose tax rates? No. This tool prepares a document; it does not email the recipient, accept payments or manage your bookkeeping. You decide the applicable rate and must check any local requirements yourself.
